Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2025
Introduction
napmath respects your privacy. We built napmath to help parents plan and track their baby's nap schedule. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information -- your email address, collected when you sign in via passwordless authentication or a third-party provider (Google, Apple).
- Baby profile -- baby name and optional birth date, entered by you (the parent or guardian).
- Schedule data -- nap times, wake windows, events, timestamps, and related schedule information you create within the app.
- Device information -- device type and operating system version, collected for crash reporting and compatibility purposes.
How We Use Your Data
- Provide, maintain, and improve the napmath service.
- Sync your schedule data across your devices.
- Send transactional emails such as sign-in codes and caregiver invitations.
- Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher and encrypted at rest.
napmath is local-first: your schedule is stored on your device using AsyncStorage before being synced to the cloud. This means the app works offline and your data is always available locally.
We use passwordless authentication -- we never store a password for your account.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase -- database hosting and authentication.
- Resend -- transactional email delivery (sign-in codes, invitations).
- Apple / Google -- optional sign-in providers.
We do not use advertising SDKs. We do not use analytics services that share your personal data with third parties. We do not sell your data.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers.
Children's Privacy
napmath stores data about babies that is entered by parents and guardians. We do not collect data directly from children. There are no child accounts.
napmath is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). All data is entered and controlled by adult users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Request a data export in a portable format.
For EU users: Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have additional rights including the right to access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and the right to object to processing.
