Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions.
How do I set up my first schedule?
Open napmath and set your baby's typical wake-up time and bedtime. Then adjust the number of naps and their durations. The app automatically calculates wake windows between naps. You can fine-tune any block by dragging its edges.
How do I resize a nap?
Press and hold the bottom edge of a nap block for about 150 milliseconds until you feel a haptic tap. Then drag up or down to adjust the duration. Time snaps in 1-minute increments, with a stronger haptic pulse at every 5-minute mark.
How do I delete a nap?
Swipe left on any nap block. The nap is removed and the surrounding awake windows merge automatically. You need at least one nap in your schedule.
What's the difference between Plan and Today mode?
Plan mode is your template -- the ideal day you're aiming for. Progress bars are full and nothing changes with time. Today mode tracks the real day: progress bars drain as time passes, the current block pulses with a live indicator, and past blocks fade. Switch between them with a single tap.
How do I add an event?
Tap the event button to create a new event. Give it a label (like "Feeding" or "Doctor"), set a start time and duration. Events float alongside your schedule on the timeline but don't affect nap timing.
How do I edit or remove an event?
Tap an event on the timeline to edit its details. To delete, swipe left on the event -- same gesture as removing a nap.
Can both parents use the app?
Yes. Both parents sign in to napmath and see the same schedule in real-time. When one parent starts tracking or makes a change, the other sees it immediately.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. napmath stores everything locally on your device first. When you reconnect to the internet, changes sync automatically. You'll never lose data because of a bad connection.
How do I set up the iOS widget?
Long-press your home screen, tap the + button in the top corner, and search for "napmath". Choose the widget size you prefer. The widget shows your current schedule status and lets you toggle sleep state without opening the app.
My schedule looks wrong after I edited a block. What happened?
napmath uses cascading blocks -- when you change one block, everything after it recalculates to maintain the overall structure. Check your wake windows and nap durations. If something looks off, adjust the block that changed and the rest will follow.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email us at [PLACEHOLDER_EMAIL] from the address associated with your account. We'll delete all your data permanently. You can also request a data export before deletion.
Is my baby's data safe?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We don't sell or share your personal information. napmath stores data about your baby's schedule that you enter -- we don't collect data from children directly. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
