Frequently asked questions
Short answers. No jargon. You're probably holding a baby.
How do I set up my first schedule?
Set your baby's wake-up time and bedtime. Pick the number of naps. napmath fills in the wake windows automatically. Then drag any block to fine-tune. The whole thing takes about a minute.
How do I resize a nap?
Hold the bottom edge of a nap block until you feel a small haptic tap, then drag up or down. You'll feel a stronger pulse every 5 minutes so you can adjust by feel without watching numbers.
How do I delete a nap?
Swipe left on the nap block. The surrounding awake windows merge and the schedule adjusts. You always need at least one nap -- beyond that, it's your call.
What's the difference between Plan and Today mode?
Plan mode is the day you're aiming for. It doesn't change with time -- it's your reference. Today mode is live: progress bars count down, the current block pulses, and past blocks fade. One tap to switch between them.
How do I add an event?
Tap the event button, give it a name and time. Events sit alongside your nap schedule as reference markers -- they don't move your naps around. Use them for feeds, appointments, classes, or whatever helps you see your day.
How do I edit or remove an event?
Tap an event to edit it. Swipe left to delete it. Same gesture as removing a nap.
Can both caregivers use the app?
Yes. Both sign in and see the same schedule in real time. When one of you adjusts something or starts tracking, the other sees it right away. No more relaying the nap schedule via text.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Everything saves locally first. No signal at the park, in the nursery, at your in-laws' house with the bad wifi. It all syncs when you are back online.
How do I set up the iOS widget?
Long-press your home screen, tap +, search for napmath. The widget shows your current schedule and lets you toggle sleep without opening the app.
I changed one nap and the whole schedule moved. Is that right?
That is by design. When you adjust one block, everything downstream recalculates. You make one decision. napmath does the arithmetic on the rest. If the result looks off, tweak the block you changed.
Does napmath track feeds, diapers, or mood?
No. On purpose. napmath does one thing: nap planning. There are apps that track every detail of your baby's day. This is not one of them. You have enough fields to fill in already.
Will napmath tell me when to put my baby down?
No. napmath shows you the plan and counts down the wake windows. You decide when to act. You know your baby. The app does the arithmetic so you do not have to.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email us at [PLACEHOLDER_EMAIL] from the address on your account. We'll delete everything permanently. You can request a data export first if you want one.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Encrypted, not sold, not used for ads. napmath only stores the schedule you enter — nothing else. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
